Lightbulb Marysville, WA, USA

Live in a small town, close to town. Rent a two bedroom townhouse apartment for $750. Electricity is about $75-100 a month in the winter, about $30 a month in the summer. Phone and internet combined are about $60 a month. direct tv is about $60 for a basic package. Water and garbage is paid by the landlord. I don't pay health care costs because Im on medicaid, disability. Vet prices are around $40 just for a visit and a lot more if they run any tests.

Food prices vary depending on what store you go to. At this time of year (winter), the cheapest store offers a gal. of milk for about $2.00, some places have it for closer to $3.00. a loaf of store brand bread is close to a dollar. Canned cat food is .47 cents at the cheap store and .70 cents at safeway. Coffee prices vary also with the different stores and brands. I buy Yuban dark roast which ranges from about $7.00 up to about $11.00 depending on the store. Md toilet paper (12 double rolls) is about $6.00 at the cheap store. Unleaded gas at a cheaper station is around $3.40 a gallon and is on the rise again.

Don't really do any recreational activities. I might go to the casino occasionally but then you pay what you want. Seldom eat out although there are several places to do so. Probably spend close to $4-5 for an adult meal at mcdonalds. A lot of the stuff I buy, I do on ebay.com such as gifts and crafts. One recent purchase I did from home depot was for a microwave oven. I paid $69 plus tax with free delivery. Its a GE brand. Could have gotten an off brand at walmart for about $49... I was looking for one that would fit a shelf I had for it and the one I bought was the closest I'd seen. Turned out that it was just a fraction too big though.
Im also a smoker and the price of cigarettes have went sky high. I used to get them online too until the state stopped that. To buy a carton of cheap generic cigarettes at an indian reservation store around here costs about $40 now. Since Im a heavy smoker and can't afford to pay these costs I've switched to cigars that come in packs and look like cigarettes. I can still buy them online and they cost about $15 a carton with shipping. After smoking these for awhile I don't even notice the difference between them and cigarettes.
Im quite thrifty, have to be on disability, and get discounts on my rent and utilities. Otherwise I would be living in my car... I only occasionally buy things that I don't absolutely need and thats only if I've somehow gotten ahead for the month.
