Housing is expensive, a house in the old city costs about $US600,000. a two bedroom apartment goes for $US 400 upwards.

Utilities average $100 to 250p.m. for two adults.

Clothing is cheap, U.S. factories have over runs, e.g. Levis jeans for about $50.

We spend about $500 on food, which includes about 40% imports which are expensive.
