I live in the countryside out of big urban areas where life is more sedate and travelling around the immediate area only requires short taxi journeys. I don't have a car and I mostly use a bicycle. However, I do make the 250 km journey into the capital Seoul at least once a month on the bus or train which are cheap and efficient in Korea (a return journey costs roughly $20 to and from Seoul). I rarely cook my own food and eat one large meal a day at various restaurants which are relatively cheap compared to urban restaurants, which are roughly 30 to 40% more expensive.

My internet is an unlimited access deal and my mobile is my main means of communication. My salary is in the $2000 range so I am able to live very well and save large amounts of money.
