Costs of living in Seoul, SOUTH KOREA

1 U.S. dollar = 1 410.43724 South Korean won


All info is based on 2 people (a couple) sharing an apartment and expenses


Rent- 800,000 won/month (2 bedroom apt. in the city center)

Utilities- 85,000 won/month

Food- 200,000 won/month

Transportation (public) 50,000 won/month


Recreation - varies

dozen eggs - 2000 won

1 liter of milk - 3000 won

large bottle of beer from the store - 2000 won

Rent, $1,000 per month for 3 bedrooms and a bit large living and dinning room
utilities $120(winter), $10(summer) for gas, $100 for apartment security and management
food, $100 for a couple and 11 month baby
recreation, $100~200 ($7 movie ticket, $10 book, $30~50 musical ticket)
dozen eggs...$2
1.8L milk $3.5
