Default Wanaka, South Island of New Zealand

Per month for our house (2 people, couple in late 20s). We both work full time.

We live in Albert Town, Wanaka. Wanaka is a small town in the South Island of New Zealand. The town's economy relies mainly on tourism and the construction industry. We are very frugal with our money and save on expenses by growing our own food, collecting our own firewood and limiting the amount we use our cars.

Per month

Mortgage = $800
Power (electricity) = $90
Food = $400

We grow a lot of our own veges and hunt for our meat. We still however spend about $50 /wk on alcohol.

We eat out reasonably often spending about $50 a week.

We don't buy a lot of new stuff but do buy second hand. I would spend about $150/month on clothing, personal care items and luxuries.
