We live in the downtown area of San Cristobal. Our rent is $700.00USD a month for a large apt. in a very privet and very pretty place. the 700 includes the utilities and internet and maid service once ever other day. The health care is alright but I would not want a major event to occurs here. The Doctors make after hours house calls for really very little.

This is an old town but it sets up high in the mountains and is very beautiful. Because it is so high up it is also quite cold, and has lots of rain.

Many wonderful and different places to eat. Lots of night life places to go to. Not a lot of English speaking people here and you should know Spanish.

Food cost are low and of course that depends if you go to the open market or the Sam\'s Club. Very accepting type of town.
