Cheap beer at home 4lt 1litre
Beer out 8lts half litre
Steak (Sirloin) 19lt per kilo

petrol 4.5lt per litre
Vodka mid range brand 23lt litre
Supermarkets are packed with loads of produce yet are nowhere near USA, UK, Germany, France VERY VERY sub standard in their range and offer! Locals don't seem to mind but more often I see Lithuanians in Poland to do shopping
Retail is generally awful, we travel to Poland as the pricing is about 23% cheaper with lots of French English and German retailers.
Public transport system is functional, it works out rather expensive for single short journeys, very cold in winter 2lts single ticket, day ticket 13lt. Taxis old dilapidated cars that cost 1.6lt per kilometre. As everywhere in east Europe first time travellers will get ripped off.
Flights out have become cheaper with the entry of two cheap European carriers Ryanair and Wizz if your that way inclined
TV internet 90lt per month (Fast Internet, and a reasonable mix of English language TV)
On an expatiate salary cost of living isn't to bad, but I would hate being here if I was on a local income (Dr salary 2300lt per month)
Dentistry is very good and way cheaper than USA and Western Europe, regular check 90lt Hygienist clean 150lt. Dental tourism on rise so anticipate some price increases.
rent an apartment b/w 150 to 270lt per night and get your teeth done cheaply as there is nothing in Vilnius worth doing and go home smiling!
