utilities: €60 per month (electricity + heating)

entertainment: €600 monthly (eating out twice a week, and drinking out twice a week, movies once a week)

transport: €50 per month, for the odd taxi. Otherwise I walk

Beer: €5

glass of wine at a nice wine bar: €7

average meal for two people (mains + desert + bottle of wine + coffees): €80 for a fairly standard restaurant

Rent - €1200 a month for 3 bedroom house.

Utilities - Approx €104 a month for Gas, Elect, NTL (Tv) and Bins. This is halved though because my flatmate pays the other half.

Food - Changes from week to week but I'd say probably about €100 a week on average (If you eat out, this makes it considerably more expensive. For 2 people, eating out would cost about 70-80Euro).

Transportation - Petrol would cost me about €100 a month.

Healthcare - I don't have healthcare but a visit to the doc is €60.

All in EUR

1375 for a two bedroom "furnished" apartment in the city centre - in reality, the furniture has all slowly been removed as it has worn out.

Last electric bill was 280 for two months, although it can be much higher in the winter.

Pay 80+ p/m for health insurance which reimburses 50% of routine outpatient costs and covers most procedures in a public hospital. Waiting lists are very long, however, so you have to be prepared to pay more to "go private."

A dozen eggs would cost between 2.50 and 3.00

Going out for a meal at a decent but not fancy restaurant will put you back 30 - without drinks.

Rent -- 750 for a fully furnished, large bedsit

Utilities -- 100-200 per month on electricity with two PCs always running and heating occasionally, 56 on internet/phoneline

Food -- approximately 200 per month to feed two people, depending on eating habits. Milk is 1-2 euro for 2 litres, and some items of food are a lot more expensive, like margarine being up to 6 euros.
