Default Accra, ghana

I live in Ghana, in west Africa. Our currency is Ghana Cedi which is equivalent to 1.35 Us dollars today stated by the association of bankers. My present wage is about two Ghana Cedis thirty Ghana Pesewas which is equivalent to one Us dollar seventy cents. In addition I receive transport allawance as well depending on where one live. I can therefore say, I Live on less than two Us Dollars a day. Fortunately for me I am not renting. Icurrently live in our own home. Other expences is on electricity and water which is giving us a lot of problems to maitioned a few.

Thanks.

Rent: 1100 dollars pcm for 2-bed flat house in town centre, no garden
Utilities: Ridiculously expensive. $35-40 water, $150 pcm electricity. Using AC constantly bumps up bill significantly
Transportation: Public transport dirt cheap but dangerous. Gas, GHC1 per litre and I have a gas-guzzling Nissan Xterra but when I had my old banger, didn't spend that much (except when old banger had leaky tank and someone nicked her petrol cap).
Food: Mad expensive if you want to eat imported goodies or treat yourself in a nice restaurant. Local food cheap but poor quality, hygiene standards very low.

Accra is VERY expensive. Strange, but true.
