Education (public) for k-12 is free. Private and college education runs $10,000/year or more.
Recreation varies, but there are theme parks with annual passes for about $100/year per person. Movies, $10/person.
Average restaurants, $12/meal per person. It is fairly diverse racially.
Public transportation is not good, and you must have a car. That is another $10,000 minimum or $300/month or so. Then insurance is expensive in Florida in general.
Food is expensive, but we spend about $120/week on a family of 4 (two young kids) and we eat largely organic food.
