rent- about 600 a month for a bedroom for a house but if a uni student then about 400 a month on campus

utilities- about 30 a month

transportation- is very cheap about roughly 30- 40 a month.

food- is about 200 a month if you budget well and an be a little extra say 350 if you are not so good at budgeting.

overall it is not very expensive but asian development bank survey which compared about 32 countries in the asia pacific region excluding japan korea australia and NZ but including china ranked fiji as the most expensive followed by hongkong( 2nd), singapore(3rd), and brunei(4th), china was ranked 9th. i think it is ok because it is less costlier than australia.
