Mortgage-- $1700 for a 3-bedroom townhouse

utilities -- Electric, $300; water, $20; telephone $70

Food -- $100 week (for one person, including cheap lunch out, breakfast sandwich on the way to work)

Health -- $4,000 annually (health problems)

Recreation -- going to anything that requires a ticket means at least $50 just for the ticket. Movies are $10, plus popcorn and a drink, which adds another $7.

Transportation: Gas fluctuates, but my car get 23 miles a gallon, and I use about 18 gallons a week. At $3.00 per gallon, that is $54 per week, or $2800 per year

Eggs: a dozen is about $2.99 right now
