Default Victoria, BC, Canada

Housing Charge (Co-op), 3 Bdrm Attached Townhouse: $700
Utilities (Broadband Internet, Basic Phone, Electric heating, no water): $$200
Transportation: $245 ($200 VW Golf Gas, Insurance, Maint : $45 Subsedized Bus Pass)
Food: $500 for 4 (2 small kids)

In Victoria the major expense is housing which we significantly avoid by being a member of a co-op. Being on an island everything is a little more expensive. Food has been getting more expensive but we do tent to eat well on our budget. Lots of locally grown food on the island and BC in general including organics.
