Rent 1200-1400 month. 2 bedroom apartment, utilities included

Rent for single house 1500-1700 month, you pay utilities 200-300

Grocery 500-600/month for two adults

Healthcare insurance 300-600/year per working adult based on earnings

Monthly bus pass is 100-120 /month

Gas 0.8 litre

Car insurance 150/month, for a 2003 Toyota Matrix and a 2000 Nissan Altima

Dozen egg 2.5

3 litre milk 5-6

McDonald food 5-7

Chinese food lunch special 5

Other fast food 5-10

New car: Honda Accord 30000-35000, Toyota Camry similar

Movie: 10-12

Average house (2000 square feet): 400,000

Average high rise condominium(apartment style, 800-1100 square feet): 280,000-350,000

Not expensive living in this area. Food and housing are much cheaper than Europe. Average professional job pays 50,000- 80,000/year, income tax is around 35%. Two adults with that income can live very comfortably
