Hello I live in Mar del Plata, these are my weekly expenditures 1USD - 3.80 Arg. Pesos

Food including meat, eggs, milk, variety of fruits and veggies, cheese, bread, nuts, seeds, etc. around 70 ARG. pesos per week

Every two months I pay for utilities:

Gas 45 Arg. Pesos
Energy 40 Arg. Pesos
Water 32 Arg. Pesos
Phone 60 Arg. Pesos
Cell 20 Arg. Pesos

Rent I pay 800 Arg. Pesos a month for a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom nice little apartment with small patio 9 block from the center of town.

Transportation I mainly walk every where so it´s almost zero, cars are expensive

Electronics and clothes are inexpensive brand new computer 2000 pesos, pair of decent jeans 55 pesos

Food, I mainly cook at home but when you go out you can spend any where from 10 Pesos a person to 50 Pesos for the most fancy places.

Health you can pay around 120 pesos a month

hope this helps cheers

Exclamation Cost in BA

Buenos Aires is something different, especially if an expat.

I pay USD 1200 for a reasonable 2 bedroom apt . You could find a not nice 2 bedroom apt for USD 600
Food etc: 100 USD pp per week

Electronics and electrical products are not relatively cheap: about 200% of US prices.

Thumbs up 250 EUR a week?? Definitely yes!

With 250 EUR a week you can perfectly live in Buenos Aires with local standards, which are not very different from European standards that you can find in Lisbon, Madrid or Rome.

At current rate 1000 Euros = 5,500 Argentine pesos

Is more than enough for a single to comfortably live in Buenos Aires in a 2 bedrooms apt. in a nice area like Palermo or Caballito.

High-quality areas like Puerto Maderos or Las Cañitas are quite more expensive.

This values are taken into account for an Argentinian national, I understand that without local "help" on dealing with agency/land owner; prices will be given with a "foreigner mark-up"

Today 1000 Euros is equal to 6000 Euros, count on 550 euros Rent for a One bedroom apt. the balance can take care of your food and extras, not too much eating outside ... cost per person for a meal in an average restaurant 15 Euros.

Food cost cooking at home for one person, 300 Euros a month.
