Just wanted to share my life costs here

I live in Bay Ridge

Rent - $850/m for studio

Utilities - $50 - $80/m for electricity

Internet - $30/m

(i don't have cable)

Groceries - $200 - $300 for 2 people a month

Health Care - $180 a month for only myself, doctor visits come with co-payment and generally unreliable system (i.e. hospitals and coverage)

(no car)

Transportation - $80-100 /m metrocard for subway/bus

Visit to a restaurant - from $20 for a minimal meal for one to $40 per person, we eat out rougly 2 times a week, so we spend roughly $320/m or $80/week

Gym - $60/m

Phones - $100/m per person, about $200/m overall

Besides this, I spend anywhere from $500- $1000 on shopping

(not including travel)

total spending on a bad month: roughly up to $3100 with combined salaries of $3700
